There are 34 million living with Diabetes. We teach individuals how to balance life while living with diabetes. or at risk of being diagnosed as diabetic. Reducing the diagnoses with classes governed by the Centers for Disease Control.
Our vision is to lessen the number of diabetes cases, we strive to work with as many individuals as possible across the United States where people can feel secure in knowing they are taught by an experienced Type 1 Diabetic.
Diabetes 101 offers a broad array of services geared to address today’s most common non-emergency diabetes care. I know there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all solution, so I never use a one-size-fits-all approach to your regimen.

As a Type 1 Diabetic since 1985 and Founder of Diabetes 101 I understand the ups and downs with Diabetes. My goal is to help you to improve and maintain your overall health, as well as to empower you to better understand your condition and wellness plan. As founder, my personal approach also comes by way of becoming a Life Coach for the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM). Dr. Kemp, born and raised in Detroit, MI. Dr. Kemp graduated from King H.S. (1996) earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA):Marketing (2004) from Siena Heights University, she earned her Master of Arts (MA): Leadership: Education (2009) from Siena Heights University. Dr. Kemp earned her Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) Educational Leadership (2017) from Argosy University.
Her story started in 1985 when she developed Type 1 Diabetes.
HER STORY: One night in July, 1985, she had a horrible headache to the point of her mom and friend driving her to the closest Emergency Room (Holy Cross Hospital). Tania walked into the hospital knowing she was going to be in good hands, while walking to her bed, Dr. Kemp, passed out, she never remembered anything after going through the double doors. When she woke up (a day later) her family was surrounding her with full support. Her mom said "they told me had I not brought you in when I did you were almost in the Diabetic Coma (DKA)!"
After two weeks of being in the hospital she was finally released she had a seizure in which she was transported to Children's Hospital of Michigan and from that point on she has been on a Diabetic roller coaster.
Dr. Kemp is a Life Coach certified by the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan governed by the Center for Disease Control. She is also certified as a Leader to teach Chronic Pain Management and Diabetes P.A.T.H. Programs. She volunteers with the American Diabetes Association of Southfield as well as advocate with the State of Michigan to ensure all those living with Diabetes can have a life and secure future. Dr. Kemp is the proud author with Mr. Tyrus Kendrix in writing the book "There is Nothing Wrong with Me"
